The white rice component is naturally gluten-free. The mixed barley and black rice component contains barley, which naturally contains gluten. This product is therefore not suitable for individuals with celiac disease or barley/gluten allergies. The grains may also be processed in facilities handling other grains or allergens.

Store both grain packages in a cool, dry place away from moisture, heat, and direct sunlight. Once opened, keep each grain tightly sealed in an airtight container to maintain freshness and protect against moisture and pests.

White Rice – Stovetop Method

Rinse 1 cup of white rice under cold water until the water runs mostly clear. Add the rice and approximately 1½ cups of water to a pot. Bring to a boil, then reduce the heat to low and cover. Simmer for approximately 15–20 minutes, or until the water has been absorbed. Turn off the heat and let the rice rest, covered, for 5–10 minutes before fluffing gently.

White Rice – Rice Cooker Method

Rinse 1 cup of rice and add it to the rice cooker with approximately 1½ cups of water, adjusting according to your rice cooker and preferred texture. Select the regular white-rice setting and allow the rice to rest for several minutes after cooking.

Mixed Barley & Black Rice – Stovetop Method

Rinse 1 cup of the mixed barley and black rice blend thoroughly. For a softer texture and more even cooking, soak the grains for 2–4 hours or overnight. Drain and add approximately 2½–3 cups of fresh water. Bring to a boil, reduce heat, cover, and simmer for approximately 35–50 minutes, or until tender. Allow the cooked grains to rest for 5–10 minutes before serving.

Mixed-Grain Rice Method

For a combination of the two products, rinse ½ cup white rice with ½ cup mixed barley and black rice. Soak the mixed barley and black rice separately for several hours before cooking. Combine the grains with approximately 2 cups of water and cook in a rice cooker using a mixed-grain or whole-grain setting if available.
