McCabe Organic Barley Tea (유기농 보리차) 1.5lbs

I read the reviews prior to buying, some praising and some disparaging. I don't know what "real" barley tea is supposed to be, as this is my first and only experience with it. Seemed a little weak to start, but you can always add a little more and/or let it steep longer. I like it.

This is so delicious! I ordered, tore through half the bag in a week of giant tea mugs, then ordered two more! It has a pleasant toasty flavor. I kind of overpour into a cup and leave the extra kernels in the fridge for the next day, a bit like reusing a tea bag.

I make barley tea in my 4 litre pot. My wife and I enjoy this especially in cold weather. It has good flavor. Wish it was a little cheaper though.

I made the tea as soon as it was delivered. I boiled a pot of hot water, put some roasted barley in the pot and continued boiling for maybe 1 minute, then covered the pot and let it steep until it was warm. It tasted just like what I expected. I am happy I made this purchase. The longer it steeps, the darker the tea becomes and the roasted taste is stronger - it's personal preference how long you want to steep it.

My family love this tea because the taste is lighter than barley tea from the Korean grocery store. The taste is clear and has a good fragrance, very similar to Taiwanese barley tea. If you like dark roasted barley tea, you might not like this one.

The taste and smell of this barley tea is fantastic! I used to drink nothing but green tea, but now I am hooked on barley tea.

I like to make iced tea from this barley and drink it on hot summer days. It's delicious and high quality, and I appreciate that it is certified organic.

This is my first time trying barley tea and I fell in love instantly! I added a 1 tsp scoop and ended up adding 2 tsp to a strainer ball, and was able to do 2 brews on it just fine with 2 pieces of jaggery for sweetness. It's so good - it might be one of my favorite teas! I can see this mixing well with other teas too to give a unique flavor, plus the bag is massive so this will last a long time.

This barley tea was definitely delicious and it has a lot of flavor to it. What I do is brew it in hot water for a little bit and then add water as I go throughout the day. I have a hard time drinking plain water, so this really helps.

I love brewing this tea. I keep it in the fridge - a splash in a cup of water livens up a simple drink. Delicious full strength too. Way more cost effective to brew your own versus buying tea bags of barley tea.

I love the taste of this tea. I've had it warm and even cold, making it such a versatile drink. As far as this brand, I'm loving it!

I first enjoyed roasted barley tea in an amazing sushi restaurant. Wanting more for brewing at home, I tried 4 brands and this is my favorite. I also drink it cold all year long. Organic, nicely roasted, bulk - I use a bag every 2 months.

We're on our 4th packet I think - we love this tea. I make a big batch and put it in bottles to store in the fridge, and we enjoy a few glasses a day. Good value and very refreshing.

This is my second time buying. I like the price, taste and amount.

I make this tea hot and it is nice to sip a few mugs a day (you can re-steep the same scoop throughout the day). Happy that it is organic. A little pricey - will see how long it lasts.

I have never purchased barley tea before. I find it has a very pleasant taste and aroma. I read a review where a person described reusing the barley multiple times. I tried this and to my surprise I was able to use the same little strainer for at least four to five cups of tea without it tasting weak. I will definitely purchase this organic barley tea again!

I am glad that I found this barley tea. It has a very clean taste that I remember drinking while growing up. I recommend it highly. However, I wish it was less toasted - instead of brown, some are almost blackish. I hope they continue to sell the 3 packs.

Love the fresh roasted flavor!

This barley tea is perfect. I haven't tried it hot yet - I've been using it for unsweetened iced tea. I remember having this over the years but could not find it. So happy I did. I have been brewing it as follows: for a regular coffee maker I use 1/2 cup for a 14 cup measurement, and let it steep for 30 minutes. You can also use it 2 more times - just let it dry thoroughly and increase your brew time, so 40 minutes the second time and 60 minutes the third. Do try this very tasty product. I will buy this often.

It has a decent size and the tea tastes great!

Tried barley tea for the first time at a Korean restaurant and was hooked by the pleasant light nutty aroma and taste. This seems to be the best value out there for a high quality organic roasted barley, with no unpleasant surprises in the bottom of the bag! Will purchase again.
